| Hong Kong, July 23, 2001ˇKRoadShow's
programme host recruitment entered into a new stage today,
with the commencement of a voting exercise by passengers to
elect their most desirable programme hosts.
Passengers on board vehicles installed with
the RoadShow system can cast their votes via their mobile
phones in the coming two weeks beginning today after viewing
the electioneering messages by the 10 finalists shortlisted
earlier this month.
RoadShow's Chief Programme Officer Eric Yeung
said the voting exercise would end on Sunday, August 5.
Statistics will be collated and adjudication panel's marks
will be added to elect the most talented and popular programme
hosts.
Results of the recruitment would be announced
in the middle of August, Mr Yeung said, and the new programme
hosts would come to meet passengers on RoadShow in September
the earliest.
Mr Yeung said, "Passengers' response
to this recruitment campaign has been overwhelming. We are
confident that we can elect energetic and dynamic people
to be our programme hosts.
"We now invite passengers to cast
their votes, simply because we would like them to continue
to support RoadShow and take part in our activities, so
as to make passengers' vehicle journeys more enjoyable."
