| Hong Kong, June 10, 2001ˇKRoadShow's
care for young people in Hong Kong is further evidenced as
RoadShow is about to broadcast another new programme series
on youths.
The new programme series, with 24 episodes,
features interviews of previous winners of the Ten Outstanding
Young Persons Selections. Broadcasting of the new programme
series begins today to tie with the commencement of this
year's selection.
Previous winners of the selection, including,
among others, Mr Jacky Cheung, Professor Poon Chung-kwong,
Miss Doreen Leung and Mr Chong Chan-yau, will appear in
the programme to tell their real life stories, their views
on various social phenomena as well as their advice to young
people.
The new programme series will be broadcast
on RoadShow every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, with each
episode lasting for about two minutes,
RoadShow's Chief Programme Officer Eric Yeung
said the broadcasting of these interviews showed RoadShow's
support for this year's selection.
"We do not only support the Ten Outstanding
Young Persons Selection, but we also care about young people
in Hong Kong.
"This is in fact another effort of ours
to provide more healthy contents for young people following
the broadcasting of our Breakthrough programme," he
said.
Mr Yeung said RoadShow had prepared some more
youth and student-oriented programmes for broadcasting during
the summer holidays. These programmes will be launched gradually
in the coming two months.
"Our aim is simple, we provide
diversified programmes to make our passengers' vehicle journeys
more enjoyable," he added.
