Hong Kong, June 3, 2001ˇKRoadShow is proud to present to
transit vehicle passengers the movie trailer of "Shrek",
a heavyweight animation produced by Dreamworks for this
summer.
Passengers will find their transit journeys
more enjoyable as they will be able to see this movie trailer
starting tomorrow on the 2,100 buses equipped with the Multi-Media
On Board system.
Official launch of "Shrek" has been
scheduled for July 5 at leading cinemas across Hong Kong.
A big hit of box office is expected for this movie, which
features voice dubbing by comedians Mike Myers and Eddie
Murphy, in addition to the dubbing by Cameron Diaz and John
Lithgow. Cantonese dubbing is done by Hong Kong Film Awards
winner Anthony Wong and popular comedian Dicky Cheung.
"Shrek" is the latest production
of Dreamworks, after the big hits of "Prince of Egypt"
and "Antz". Produced by Jeffrey Katzenberg, one
of the three founders of the company, "Shrek"
combines three-dimensional effects into animation and makes
the movie look as if one shot at real scenes.
RoadShow Chief Programme Officer Eric Yeung
said it was RoadShow's intention to bring more high-quality
entertainment on board.
"As summer is just around the corner,
we would like to provide more programmes that students and
children would like to watch on board."
Mr Yeung added that similar programme contents
were being arranged and these contents would be put on MMOB
once ready.
"Our aim is simple, we just want to make
passengers' transit vehicle journeys more enjoyable,"
he said.
